Biography
Born in Cambridgeshire, in 1974, Julia moved to Cornwall after leaving art college and spent almost 20 years in the West Country. She currently lives with her Husband in Lincolnshire.
During that time she forged a successful career in art, specializing in illustration, but in recent years she has put down her paintbrushes and turned her hand to writing both Fantasy, and Horror short stories and novels.

Julia is a huge fan of the folk horror genre, and is also an avid player of RPG games such as Skyrim and The Witcher. She is also an Executive producer on the paranormal TV show 'Lost Souls'.

"For me, the spark of inspiration is within the quietly sleeping earth beneath our feet, in the trees that stand guard over the wild places, and the unseen realm of the 'otherworld' where dark and strange stories merge to spill over into our universe.
I always loved making a piece of art that looked as though it were a snapshot from a story. I never really knew what that story was, or how the person got there, but eventually I wanted to explore those stories in more depth. And so I began to write... "
